Ora Group Shares Ted Talks ‘The Power of Passion and Perseverance’

“In the entrepreneurial world, it’s important to understand that passion and perseverance will take you to great places. It’s also important to understand that passion is something, that when combined with hard work, will lead you to great lengths of success,” says Obiora Shorinwa, managing director of Ora Group. In an interesting Ted Talks conference, Angela Lee Duckworth talks about the importance of this factor: passion and perseverance. She basically starts by mentioning that she took on a job as a math teacher in NY and she realized something after a while. She analyzed the difference between successful students and those that struggled.

Duckworth mentions, “Some of my smartest kids were not doing so well, and that got me thinking. The kinds of things you need to learn in seventh-grade math, sure, they’re hard: ratios, decimals, the area of a parallelogram. But these concepts are not impossible, and I was firmly convinced that every one of my students could learn the material if they worked hard and long enough. After several more years of teaching, I came to a much better understanding of students and learning from a motivational perspective. I left the classroom and started studying kids and adults in the psychological perspective in all kinds of super challenging settings. In every study, my question was: who is successful here and why?” We went to the national spelling bee and tried to predict which student would get far, and in all these different contexts, only one factor emerged: grit. Grit is passion and perseverance. Grit is having stamina. Grit is sticking with your future day in and day out for years and working really hard to make that future your reality.”

At Ora Group, we found Angela Lee Duckworth’s speech to be quite motivational. In the marketing world, grit is exactly what you need to push you to succeed. “Many individuals give up because they fear the future. They fear they won’t make it. But that’s when grit will set you apart. It’ll help you develop your passion into making it a reality,” says Obiora Shorinwa of Ora Group. We instill this mindset into all individuals at our company and hope that everyone embodies grit, not just for their goals but as a lifestyle to hustle in everything you do.

Obi Shorinwa of Ora Group to Speak at New Orleans Rising Star Event

After having been asked to speak in South Africa at a huge industry gala to honor top achievers, Obi Shorinwa of Ora Group International has now been asked to speak at the Rising Star Event in New Orleans in late October. “It is always an honor to speak at these events, but this is even more so for me this year because I am asked to talk about something that is truly important to me as a team player.”

He may be the director/president of the Ora Group, but Obi Shorinwa also sees himself as a part of the team. “Yes, I lead the team much of the time, but to me, it takes an entire team to get a job done. I couldn’t do it alone, and as each member of my team has different talents and strong points, we make a cohesive whole when working together.”

However, Obi Shorinwa also realizes that not all teams are able to work as well together because some lack the excitement necessary to carry them along. This is what he will be speaking on in New Orleans this year and it is something this dynamic leader excels in – building excitement among the ranks.

“Whether there is one team working toward a company’s goals or several teams on different projects, each member of each team must be motivated to meet those goals. This is where building excitement comes in. What I have found over the years is to demonstrate how a company’s success filters down to everyone in that company’s employ. If everyone is excited about prospering, then those goals are not as far off in the distance as you might think.”

In reality, the very best leaders understand that they are there to guide and keep things together but that few goals would be met without the collective effort of the whole. Unfortunately, some team leaders haven’t been given the tools they need to help build that excitement toward a common goal, and that is what Ora Group ’s leader is there to explain.

“If you don’t have team leaders who are able to generate excitement toward reaching a goal, it’s hard to get the entire team motivated. That team leader may otherwise be excellent at what they do, but the must also learn to help build excitement as they go.” Obi Shorinwa from Ora Group goes on to say that there are courses and seminars that teach how to build and maintain excitement and that may be all that is needed to get the ball rolling.

Ora Group to Be Represented at South Africa Industry Gala

Having been asked to represent the Ora Group Selective at a huge industry gala in South Africa, Obi Shorinwa is delighted to speak about his first three years in the United States as a marketing director. This amazingly energetic and talented marketing professional brought his team over from the North of England just three short years ago and is already grossing over $1 million dollars in revenue a year.

The industry gala that the Ora Group Selective’s director is speaking at is a much-anticipated awards gala for top achievers in the industry. As a top achiever himself, Obi Shorinwa is happy to honor other marketing professionals who put in long hours to achieve their present status as top performers. “After moving to the States from England, I expected to work long and hard, but to have achieved these results in just three years, every moment of every day was well worth the effort.”

What Obi Shorinwa wishes to express to those who are in the beginning stages of their journey as marketing entrepreneurs, is that it all starts with a vision for the future. “If you know where you’re going, you are willing to put in the effort to get there.” From early on in his career in marketing, the director of the Ora Group knew that he wanted to reach a pinnacle in his career that would put him in a position to bring other talented marketers along with him.

“It’s all about teamwork,” he says, “and I have been honored to work with a team of like-minded marketers who are willing to go the extra mile to build a solid customer base for our clients. Anyone who knows me knows that I pride myself on being a team player, and so this honor isn’t mine alone. Each of these top achievers also understands that their awards are, at least in part, due to the efforts of an entire team.”

That’s what effective marketing is all about, according to the leader of the Ora Group. When you achieve for your clients, everyone on the team is a winner in his or her own right because each team player has a specialty that works together to complete the whole. “I am honored to be asked to speak at such an important industry event awarding top achievers, but I am doubly honored to be representing the team of top performers that helped bring me to this point in my career.” What better speaker to represent the industry than one who truly appreciates just what it takes to get to the top?

Ora Group Establishing Itself as a Leader in International Marketing

With new internet marketers popping up on a daily basis, competing in this increasingly saturated sector has become absurdly difficult in the last five years. However, agencies that have headquarters in the real world are at an advantage, as industry analysis reveals that marketing companies with offline presences are more likely to obtain and keep high-quality clients in comparison to agencies that are based solely online.

Building a marketing group that can excel at the top of such a fiercely competitive industry requires a combination of premium talent, optimal productivity, and great presentation across the board. Obi Shorinwa, the owner of Ora Group International, has been on the fortunate end of the recent uptick in corporate marketing sales, spearheading an agency that now works with numerous Fortune 500 companies in multiple countries.

Ora Group original offices were based in Newcastle, England, but the company has been able to expand to a new office space in Jersey City to better accommodate US clients. The agency has blossomed into a formidable firm over the years, with Obi Shorinwa assisting other company leaders throughout the process of growth and development.

Moving into international territories is becoming a popular way for marketing groups to expand their outreach, gain more clients, complete bigger projects, and ultimately increase annual revenue. Ora Group is aiming to establish several more office locations for the group during the next 2 years, as part of a globalization strategy that will eventually give the brand a presence on almost every continent.

Obi Shorinwa and the entire team at Ora Group have a lot of work cut out for them, but there’s no shortage of work to get them to their goal. In fact, the word “selective” in Ora Group is integral to the entire process as it typifies the way in which this amazingly effective marketing group does everything. From choosing team members to the venues for marketing and sales, each component is specially tailored on a client by client basis.

Despite the ubiquitous presence of marketers on and off the web, the demand for quality sales and marketing services is higher than ever, because only a small minority of marketing firms can actually deliver results worth paying for.

Of course, Obi Shorinwa and company are on the fortunate side of the spectrum, as the firm can use its existing reputation and portfolio to attract an even larger portfolio of clients who will also help build their international initiative.

Ora Group Discusses: Why Passion?

Passion is something that drives us forward. It is a source and energy that derives from within our hearts and soul — it helps us achieve our deepest, most desired goals/dreams. “At Ora Group, we believe that without passion no one can make it far in a field. There must be the passion when choosing a path and career because without it you will have excuses to fall apart,” says Obi Shorinwa, managing director of Ora Group. In addition to understanding passion, we must also understand that amount of courage it takes along with the desire for pursuing your dreams. When individuals join Ora Group, they showcase a sense of ability and majority of our crew members know that they would instead do nothing else. Marketing and our company growth is their passion.

“We admire individuals that realize passion is a big deal. We know that it takes a lot of courage to do tasks that challenge them and keep them going. It is also evident that passion pushes drive. This drive overall will then help us to achieve our goals,” says Obi Shorinwa of Ora Group. We’d like to share some of our favorite quotes to help portray the importance of passion and courage.

It’s your place in the world; it’s your life. Go on and do all you can with it, and make it the life you want to live.

– Mae Jemison

Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things that you didn’t do than by the ones you did do. So throw off the bowlines. Sail away from the safe harbor. Catch the trade winds in your sails. Explore. Dream. Discover.

– Mark Twain

Almost everything–all external expectations, all pride, all fear of embarrassment or failure–these things just fall away in the face of death, leaving only what is truly important. – Steve Jobs

Ora Group International Reviews: “How to Build Self-Control”

Ora Group is proud of how we build and promote the concept and habit of self-control. Self-control develops overtime with diligence and mindset. Mindset is the number one aspect when it comes to creating positive habits. “These habits will last anyone a lifetime because they encourage success. Studies portray that having self-control along with mindset helps you to get closer to your goals,” says Obi Shorinwa, managing director of Ora Group. According to an article in Success Magazine, by John Addison; Addison writes “It takes time and effort for the bigger gear to make a full rotation. For that reason, the bigger gear needs to continue turning in the same direction. If it’s constantly changing directions, the little gears waste energy starting and stopping. It takes self-control to stay consistent in your direction and focus.”

In this example, Addison is referring to the bigger gear being self-control. Self-control takes time to build and head in the right direction. Once it is in momentum and focus, you decide the amount of self-control you need to stay in the right direction. Addison also relates self-control to having a kind of energy with it. He writes, “Each act that requires self-control progressively depletes this energy reservoir, whether it’s when you use it to resist a piece of cake, or focus single-mindedly on a difficult problem, or stay calm when you feel provoked.”

At Ora Group, we commend the individuals that have made a routine for themselves to focus and develop self-control. Self-control to us shows that an individual knows themselves. They know their confidence level, and they know their mindset and ability. To us, self-control means attitude, discipline, and growth all in one. The concept of self-control itself is a big deal for anyone to have and build. It takes years for individuals and companies to have that kind of habit. We embody the principles of self-control, and our firm represents the same.

Ora Group Shares The Importance of Hard Work

Hard work is something that should not be underrated. Many times individuals see success for others or their lifestyle and wonder how they came to get it all. Success doesn’t happen overnight. From the outside, it only looks that way but in reality, there was a tremendous amount of effort, hard work and diligence put into reaching that highest potential some individuals show us. “At Ora Group, we always implement tools and techniques to make sure that we’re challenging ourselves to reach our highest potential. Once we understand the tools to be put in, we can properly work towards it and reach our end goals,” says Obi Shorinwa, managing director of Ora Group.

One of the ways to work hard is to create diligence within yourself. Having perseverance and discipline helps us develop our mindset towards building momentum and hard work. When we organize ourselves to reach that highest potential, we know that our goals will eventually be achieved. The best advice we can give regarding working hard is to be yourself and truly challenge yourself. When an individual is not challenged, they lost interest and back away from a situation or task. The task should be to shape our mindset and build ourselves towards the next goal and target.

“We have weekly goals and targets we like to reach at Ora Group. All these require hard work, and because of that we’re able to push through and portray different kinds of tools to enable our abilities. We’re always happy to be challenged because we know it helps us with our mindset and abilities,” says Obi Shorinwa of Ora Group. Working hard and having a strong mentality means that we’re pushing ourselves to success. We’re helping our qualities and characteristics match our mindset and actions which means we want to work hard to achieve our end goal.

Ora Group International’s CEO Gives Impactful Speech at Leader’s Conference

Recently at a business and industry leaders conference, our CEO at Ora Group International gave a heartfelt speech about gratuity and getting into the field of business and marketing. Being grateful goes a long way when individuals feel like they are getting something and acknowledging the fact that they are being presented with blessings, it helps them open up pathways to even more. It is a type of positive mindset, and it helps us see just where we are in life, professionally and personally. “The reason why this industry is amazing is that it’s so fast-paced, it has incentives such as travel, and it helps you get more from life while establishing yourself in your career. I had to check this field out for myself and when I did, I thought it was amazing,” says Obi Shorinwa, managing director of Ora Group.

The best part about being grateful and acknowledging that we love our career and job is that we know it helps us reach our highest potential. We’re always competing to be the best and reaching every bar, as well as the standards we want to set. “Knowing that we’re able to truly reach the highest means that we are valuing our abilities. That itself at Ora Group is tremendous,” says Obi Shorinwa. Another significant aspect of this field is that we get to have just the right amount of freedom. It’s work hard, play hard. We feel the fruit of our labor at the end of the day by the way we perform and complete tasks.

Steve Jobs had once said, “Your work is going to fill a large part of your life, and the only way to be truly satisfied is to do what you believe is great work. And the only way to do great work is to love what you do. If you haven’t found it yet, keep looking. Don’t settle. As with all matters of the heart, you’ll know when you find it.” This field is the perfect choice for those that want to see success happen right in front of them and we’re glad that after all this time Ora Group and its team has been heading in the right direction with immense success and growth.
